The cultural association KER promotes art that emerges in dialogue with the rural context. Ker is an Indo-European word meaning “she who has the principle of growth within her”.
It is precisely this growth that Ker wants to encourage, creating development opportunities that have art, research, the land, the community, and reciprocity as their center.

We (co-founders Gaia Mencagli, Elsa Mencagli, Camilla Ramaccini, and Eugenio Corradin) met thanks to Tuscania. We are tied to the land of Maremma – made up of so much beauty and so much potential, and we have a strong desire to savor it and create meaningful relationships. We are a diverse group that crosses visual art, literature, theater, music, and agriculture and values the relationship with the land and those who live there. We are also an international group that lives in different parts of Italy, and therefore the expansion of the range of action will be inevitable.
We believe in collaboration, in creating a reality in which we can recognize ourselves, and we want to celebrate the planting, growth, and harvesting of each creation, starting from now.
